NHC Scholarship

The National Harbor Chapter of Jack and Jill Inc. is rewarding a student $4,000 over 4 years; $2,500 the first year, $500 each year for the following 3 years.

Here is what is said in the flyer:


Purpose: To provide financial assistance to college-bound high school seniors in Prince George’s County, Maryland who have demonstrated academic achievement, moral character, and community service.


Must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend an accredited college or university in the year that the initial scholarship is presented. Recipient must reside in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to apply. Consideration will be given to academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, moral character and community service record.


Each National Harbor Chapter Scholarship award will be a minimum of $2,500 with the student eligible to apply for consideration to receive an additional $500 each year as the student continues their education for the following three years.


  • Download application from www.jackandjillnationalharbor.org. Application must be fully completed and signed.
  • Submit an official copy of your high school transcript.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation. One letter must describe your community service and/or extra-curricular activities and

    one letter must be from a high school teacher or counselor who can speak to your academic achievement and character.

  • An essay is required as indicated on the application.
  • Applications are accepted online and by mail from December 1st through February 15th.


    Applicants will be evaluated based on their complete submission.
    Incomplete applications will not be considered.
    Note: Students whose parent or legal guardian is a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
