- The Peace Corps is an independent U.S. Government agency, founded by President
John F. Kennedy in 1961. The Peace Corps Mission is to promote world peace and
friendship by fulfilling three goals: To help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women. To help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served. The Peace Corps is offering internships in their departments of External Affairs. Interns will support our office across a range of activities and projects that promote and
maintain Peace Corps’ strategic partnerships, both within the agency and externally.
Applicants must be available for a minimum of 30/hours per week and demonstrate
strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment. The interns must be able to write draft emails, announcements, and promotional materials. Under supervision, draft, edit, review, and proofread a variety of informational and programmatic materials. Generate responses to preliminary partnership inquiries. Provide administrative support, maintain program files, and etc. The qualifications of an intern are results-driven, detail-oriented, experienced with MS Office products, multitask, work independently, strong organizational skills and an experienced worker.
