Black Lives matter Movement

Black Lives Matter is an international activist movement, originating in the African American Community, that campaigns against violence and systematic racism towards black people. The Black Lives Matter movement is not a hate group towards other races. The main idea of Black Lives Matter is literally to show that Black lives are as important as the lives of other races. Black Lives Matter is a peaceful movement and is not meant to be violent. Although Black Lives Matter Movement is a movement for African Americans, anyone is able to join the movement regardless of their race.
The Black Lives Matter movement started in 2013 When three radical Black organizers—Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi wished create a Black-centered political will and movement. It was in response to the trial of Trayvon Martin’s murderer, George Zimmerman, who shot and killed Trayvon and was found not guilty with no punishment whatsoever. After that trial, Black Lives Matter Movement was in affect, but became more active when Mike Brown was murdered by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, which hurt African Americans all over the nation about the unfair treatment towards African American people.
