NCAA Players Demanding Money

Recently, throughout America, college student athletes have voiced their opinion on the NCAA’s rules on them earning money. Many former athletes of Prince George’s County have made it clear that they deserve more money than average students. Chase Young, a DeMatha graduate, has been active on Twitter recently retweeting posts pertaining to college athlete jersey sales and the NCAA revenue in the past year. In 2017, the NCAA made the most money they’ve ever made at 1.01 billion dollars. The rules of the NCAA state that players cannot receive money from endorsements or sports related business. The players believe that this is unfair because they have to go to class just like everyone else while going to practice for 5-8 hours a day. The NCAA has stated that they are willing to hear their athletes out about receiving money for endorsements.
