“The Decision Making Guide: How to Make Smart Decisions And Avoid Bad Ones”

This is a follow up story from the real story by James Clear

What is decision making? Decision making is not as it may sound, it is not just the action of making decision. We make different types of decisions throughout our life. Sometimes we make logical decisions, but we also make irrational, emotional, and choices that are confusing.

Why do we make poor decisions? A lot of us like thinking of ourselves as being rational, but we are not. We are all irrational.  And sometimes we do realize that but don’t want to admit it. It was once believed by researchers that humans made well-considered, logical decisions. But in recent years, a wide range of errors that detail our thinking has been discovered by researchers.

How can we avoid making poor decisions? To avoid making poor decisions, we can use something call the mantels models. There is an article by James Clear called “Mental Models: How to Train Your Brain to Think in New Ways”. … You can search it up to read and find more details about mental models.

A mental model offers a way of looking at the problems of life and it helps us make sense of the world, and why the world works the way it does. We can use it for smart decision making. Some mental models you can use to improve your decision making are:

  1. Margin of Safety. It involves you leaving space for the unexpected.
  2. Inversion Technique.  Use to solve difficult problems.
  3. The power of thinking for yourself.

More Information on Mental Models.

Mental model explains and helps you interpret the world and understand the relationship between things. These models are responsible for guiding your behavior and perception. Mental models are not perfect but they are useful. They give you new ways to see the world. Ideas with unity are the best mental  models. They are broadly useful in daily life.
