A valuable part of gaining a career in high school is becoming involved in activities. Here at Charles Herbert Flowers, there are plenty of clubs, organizations, and programs that Jaguars are either unaware of or do not know much about. Many of these programs help the growth of your career and well-being once you leave Flowers high school doors.
Dual Enrollment is one program that is offered at the school. It is a two year program for all rising 11th and 12th grade students that allows them to take college courses while also being still enrolled into high school curriculum. Chantel Walker is the PGCPS COAST Coordinator for the dual enrollment program. As a PGCPS COAST Coordinator, Walker directs students through the application process and their time while being in the program. Walker offers assistance with required testing for enrollment, application deadlines, and provides answers to any questions a student may have pertaining to the program. For 11th graders however, the semester begins on Tuesday January 21, 2020 and for rising 11th graders, currently 10th graders, the application is due this spring and the semester will start in the upcoming fall. If you are interested in taking this amazing chance to experience college at an early age, please report to Ms.Walker on Main Street in room 729. Walker is available Monday- Thursday at hours 8:45 am – 2:30pm. Do not waste time on a once in a lifetime opportunity!
