Important Figures in Black History

African Americans have always been known for overcoming challenges and breaking barriers that no one ever thought could be broken. From the different politicians, lawyers, military leaders, actors, singers, and other leaders, African Americans have become great historical figures. Many of which have been receiving a significant amount of praise for their actions while others may not have had the recognition they truly deserve for their contributions to the community. We’ve all heard of the greats, time and time before such as, Barack Obama, Rosa Parks, Frederick Douglass, and Ella Fitzgerald but, there are countless of African Americans that we have never heard of, that have done remarkable things.

Throughout the month of February the writers at The Main Street Journal will enlighten Jaguars knowledge of the many important figures in Black History.
