How Costco Is Handling COVID-19

At Costco, they continue to manage their way through this crisis and support the community, their employees have been working extremely hard, and have made countless and extraordinary changes in their warehouses, depots, manufacturing facilities, and offices. These measures have been for a single, overall purpose: to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of Costco employees and members.

“The changes we’ve made to our business are too numerous to list, but some examples include: limits in our locations on the number of members; social distancing in lines; enhanced sanitation; limited services in certain businesses; modified weekday hours; plexiglass shields at checkstands; and special hours for seniors and high-risk groups. A few examples of how we are taking care of our employees include: premium pay; paid time off for higher-risk employees; protective masks and symptom screenings; and remote work for our office employees.” Costco messaged on their website

As the crisis has developed, Costco has remained an essential business, supplying food, medicine, cleaning supplies, and other essential items to all of the communities where they do business.

Costco has done its best to take care of their employees, members, and support the community, and we will continue to do so.

Thank you to our employees for your extremely hard work, and thank you to Costco members for cooperating with the newfound rule.
