Girls Track Team Wins 2017 Indoor Regional Championship!

Flowers girls Track and Field team takes another victory run! February 8,2017 at the Prince George’s Complex, the team dominated the competition with a 192 point lead. What a amazing sight to see! Senior Pharist Oneal wins the 300 with a time of 40.79 seconds and teammate Collese Daley takes third with a time of 41:31 seconds both runners will be competing at states for the 300 meter dash. Senior Telicia Farmer takes fourth in the 3,200 meter run with a time of 13:01 and qualified to run at states. The 4×400 meter relay placed first with a time of 4:01.79 and that will qualify them to run at states(Dejah Grant 10th, Collese Daley 12th, Pharist Oneal 12th, Ryley Hinson 12th). The 4×800 meter relay placed 2nd with a time of 10:19.60 minutes (Javon Watt 9th, Nina Rutherford 10th, Telicia Farmer 12th, Ashanti Cato 12th) which they also qualified for states. Sophomore Dejah Grant takes second in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:17.83 and teammate freshman Javon Watts takes fourth with a time of 1:18.37 both qualified for states. Senior Kenydi McWilliams takes second place in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8:55 seconds and will be competing at states for this event. The Dynamic Duo Pharist Oneal and Collese Daley both take first and second place in the 55m dash finals with a time 7.16 second (Pharist Oneal) and 7.30 (Collese Daley). Sophomore Dejah Grant wins the high jump finals with a 5-05.00 feet.
