Pharist O'Neal's story

Ashley Dawson

Before the famous O’Neal leaves  she wants to tell Charles Hebert Flowers High School about her accomplishments and some words of wisdom.
“My name is Pharist O’Neal. As a senior of the Science and Technology Program, I’m finishing my senior year as an intern at the United States Department of Agriculture and a 4.2 cumulative student. I’ve been recognized as one of the top track and field sprinters in the state and nation (3-time MPSSAA team champion and 4-time MPSSAA individual state champion). I’m a published poet with Creative Communications, a state finalist in the Wendy Heisman Scholarship, and have received many D1 offers to compete at the next level.
Full Rides: Hampton and UMBC
Scholarships from: Rutgers University, Fayetteville University, North Carolina A&T, and Jacksonville University
Although I’m still waiting to hear back from several school like University of Michigan and Georgia Tech, I’m proud of my accomplishments.
Word of advice for the future of CHF: Work with passion. Otherwise, you’ll be working towards the bare minimum, not your true potential”(Pharist O’Neal).
