What Is News? What Are Journalists?

Zion Williams

“News is that which is out of the ordinary” and what people are interested in. A journalist is a person who gets the inside story and prepares the information that needs to be heard. Adding on, a journalist does so much more than write. They have interviews and go on trips for information, take pictures, etc. Though most importantly the journalist serves the audience, everything they do is for the audience.

To summarize succinctly, news and journalism are the facts given to the people.
