JAGUARS ARE ON A ROLL 9-0!!!!!

Davon Cash

THIS WEEK, THE JAGUARS WENT INTO HOSTILE TERRITORY AGAINST THE UPPER MARLBORO,DOUGLASS EAGLES. THIS GAME WAS CLOSER THAN MOST PEOPLE WOULD HAVE GUESSED.

Coming into this week, the Jaguars knew it would be a hard game. Douglass told the Jaguars they will run all over them this week for their Senior Day and with that the Jaguars were on a mission to beat Douglass not only to prove them wrong but to keep their undefeated season a float.
The first quarter had no score, but in the second quarter, Flowers began to march down the field and Running Back Breaun Roderique scored a touchdown. Douglass began to drive down the field and thanks to jet outside running letting the Eagles for a 80+ yard Touchdown, And they convert a 2-pt conversion. At halftime the score was 7-8 in Douglass’ favor. Coming out in the second half, Douglass scored their kickoff Return making their, lead bigger to 13-7 they fail to score off there,2-pt conversion. Flowers found it hard find a rhythm in the third quarter, but by the end of it they begin to make continuous drives and at the start of the 4th quarter Quarterback Julius Duvall threw a deep ball to Running Back Breaun Roderique in the back of the end zone, they end up missing the extra points. Making it 13-14. But the Eagles wasn’t going down without a fight and march down the field and ran the ball in on the two yard line from the end zone, and with a 2-pt conversion Giving the Eagles the lead 13-22 with only 2:13 minuets left on the clock. But The Jaguars rode to the challenge and thanks to Julius Duvall hooking up with Rashawn Gilbert. Mekhi Williams finishing off the drive with go ahead Touchdown run giving the Jaguar the lead 22-25 with 1:32 on the clock, all we need was the Jaguars Defense to finish the job and shutdown the Eagles run and pass game. The Eagles on a 3 and long on a last hope to get a first down threw the ball in triple coverage getting pick off my Senior Safety Darnell Dupar. The Jags took a knee and survived the game against the Douglass Eagles dropping them to 6-3 and putting Flowers 9-0 and still UNDEFEATED!!! Next up Bladensburg Mustangs.
