HSA Tips

Bryan Thompson, Staff Writer

Students who are taking the HSA or who are preparing for it shoud take it seriously. This test will decide whether or not you will graduate high school. With only 38 school days left for seniors there are still some that are in jeopardy of not graduating because they have failed an HSA exam. What makes this matter even more serious is that the last test date for students will be held in May. Getting an overall score of 1602 won’t be considered passing if you have failed any one exam, whether it is English or Biology.
There are ways you can prepare for the HSA. Students can practice taking the HSA online at HSAexam.org. This site allows you to review sample  HSA questions and take online tests to prepare for the actual exam. Another web site that may be helpful is Mdk12.org. On this site, go to the login screen and enter “onlinecourse” as the username and “parent” as the password. This will lead you to a new users section that will then direct you to a tutorial for the course.
Don’t waste time. Take advantage of these resources and tools that are there for you. Remember there’s only 38 days left!
