On October 31st, 2017 an act of terror took place in Manhattan, killing eight people and injuring over a dozen. The suspect was identified as Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov.
A note was found in the vehicle of the incident; it claimed that the attack was influenced by ISIS. This is another of many violent attacks resulting with the death of many from vehicles that are driven by those who are influenced by terrorist organizations.
According to federal court papers the attacker:

• Planned this attack for over a year and was influenced by nearly a hundred propagandist videos.
• He chose Halloween because he assumed lots of people would be on the streets participating in events.
• He originally planned to target the Brooklyn bridge as well.

President trump recently tweeted his opinion on the punishment of the attacker, with his verdict being, the attacker should receive a death penalty and should be sent as far as Guantanamo Bay (a detention center for terrorists or those involved with terrorist organizations).
