The End of The Football Season

On Friday, November 10th, 2017, the varsity football team took on the Eleanor Roosevelt Pirates at the Jaguar’s Jungle. This was the second matchup between the two teams. With the Jaguars having won the first matchup with their stellar defense, the Pirates were out for revenge the first round of the Maryland 4a Playoffs. On this cold Friday night with temperatures near 32 degrees Fahrenheit, the Jaguar win streak came to an end as the Pirates routed the Jaguars for a 35-7 revenge win in the Jungle to advance to the next round of the playoffs where they will face the Wise Pumas. The Jaguars had a remarkable season but it shows that there more to work to be done before a state championship banner can be hung. The Jaguars entered the game with an astonishing 10-0 record with the pirates coming in 8-2, their only two losses coming from the Jaguars and the Wise Pumas.
