The application for the new cohort is open and the deadline has been moved back to November 28,2017.  “The Operation Understanding D.C. is a year-long learning and leadership program who’s goal is to create leaders. This program will teach people about topics such as culture, religion and current events, travel through the Deep South meeting Freedom Riders and visiting historic sites from the Civil Rights Movement, and participate in several activities that include facilitating Candid Community Conversations around race, privilege and unconscious bias and making speeches to raise awareness in their communities” according to Ricki Horne.
