Now We Eating

On Thursday, December/7/2017, Mr. Mallardi’s Pro Start 1 class cooked their first meal. The students were divided into groups in order to make egg rolls. They were taught knife skills so they are able to cut the vegetables as well as saute the vegetables. These skills are necessary for the students’ culinary careers because they need to acquire these skills in order to be prepared to work in an actual kitchen. The duration of the cooking process was about 90 minutes and afterward, the students were allowed to what was made. Some feedback on the activity was that it was a great experience for all of the students because it lays a foundation of skills that benefit them when cooking in the kitchen in the future.
