We’ve all had moments where we were too tired to do an assignment or too distracted to complete the assignment. When we realize we’re too lazy, we result to copying a peer’s work and passing it in as our own. The moment your teacher notices, they see plagiarism! What did you do, you ask?
Plagiarisim has a much bigger effect than you think. Your teacher can fail you, take you to your principal, or worse. Couldn’t this all have been avoided if you applied yourself more?
If you don’t want to be accused or be recognized as a plagiarizer, here are a few things you can do to avoid it:
1. ASK FOR HELP
– Asking a friend for help, can be beneficial to you and your friend as you both could receive a new experience in learning.
2. TALK TO YOUR TEACHER
– Bringing your struggles to the attention of your teacher can rule in your favor as they may understand you need assistance and actually help you.
3. TALK TO YOUR PARENT/GUARDIAN
– Your parent/guardian may possess the skills you don’t, and this could prove you to be successful in the end as they can pass along their wisdom to you.
Try your best, don’t procrastinate, and most importantly don’t plagiarize!
