On Tuesday, December 13, 2017, Charles Herbert Flowers had a lockdown drill at the beginning of first period around 7:55 a.m.
According to the morning announcements, students did a good job during the drill. Around 2:12 p.m., our school was on a serious lockdown due to a hit-and-run. The man on the run could have easily came inside the school.
Students didn’t think that the lockdown was real, while others didn’t hear announcements due to no speakers in their classrooms. Teachers have stated that students need to take this serious and follow all directions that are given.
