Who Are You Really ?

Shaiyann Palmore

In today’s society people spend most of their time on social media whether it’s Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook.  Social media impacts the way people communicate and portray themselves.  For example some people rather send a text message than engaging in face to face communication.  Users are able to design the type of lifestyle they want others to believe they are living.  Through social media a person can be whoever they want to be.  Some people even lose themselves in the process. Society has their own opinion of how they expect people to dress, look, and act and social media just emphasizes it. This pressure makes people feel like they need to change themselves to fit in.  When the question “Who are you ?” is asked some people have no idea and others don’t know if its okay to reveal their truth.
