How do you feel about net neutrality? When going online you expect to be connected to whatever website you want. You want to be in control of your internet experience. Net neutrality emphasizes that internet enables and protects free speech. Without net neutrality the internet would not be the same. Cable and phone companies will approve the websites and the content that comes with them. They would be able to block websites or content they dislike or applications that compete with their own products. Would this not cause problems with people of color speaking up for themselves and racial justice? It would because open internet allows you to have a voice and stand up for anything someone says. Net neutrality would block speech and prevent them from having a voice. Think about it, without net neutrality millions of businesses that are owned by people of color would not be able to promote or speak up for their business.
