Varsity Boys Basketball Falls to the Tigers

Raven V. Felder

On December 19, the Varsity Boys Basketball team lost against the Duval Tigers. The score was 67-83. The Jaguars played a good game. One of the players that stood out through the game was Cornelius Hawkins (CJ). CJ created a major play which caused a turnover and he made a major dunk, which had the whole gym on their feet. Here are some questions I asked CJ after the game:
Q- After that turnover in the first half that led to the major dunk of the game, how did the turnover that led to the dunk make you feel?
A- The feeling was like something I never felt before.
Q- What was one of the advantages that the team had yesterday? What was one thing that the team could improve on?
A- The team was doing great in the first half, playing good defense, playing together and moving the ball. One thing we could improve was our focus and playing more team ball.
Cj ended the game with having 15 points. The top scorer for the game against the Tigers was Juwan Burnett. He had 17 points.  The Jaguars played a good game, but have a lot of improvement to do. The Jaguars next game is on Thursday, December 21st against High Point at Flowers Gymnasium. Please come out and support our Jaguars.
