Breaking Curfew

Evan Eubanks

Many, if not all parents/guardians set a specific time for their children to be home. The parents and children that I have spoken to let me know one rule that is shared between many parents about curfews.
The rule is that as teens get older, their curfews get longer… for the boys. Talking to one anonymous young man, he told me that his curfew is 2 sometimes 3 A.M. While his twin sister has a strict 11 P.M. curfew. According to a CHF teacher Mr. Ankomah, he told me most parents dont like their daughters being out so late because girls can get pregnant. When young men go out, they often are allowed more leeway when it comes to whatever time they have to come home.
