Uranium One Investigation

A deal made 2010 arranged that the US would sell 20% of its Uranium mines to Russia. Recent allegations amidst the current administration have brought up that Hillary Clinton had a deciding vote concerning the deal. During the 2010 presidency, under the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton was still the Secretary of State. Then, the state department was one of the nine agencies that had approved of the “Uranium One” deal, as it proved no threat to U.S. national security nor did it put the U.S. at risk.
Why is this important or relevant? The FBI conducted a deeper investigation into Hillary Clinton and found that over $145 Million had been donated to the Clinton Foundation out of the result of this deal, by another who was involved in the sale. However, the State Department official who approved of this has said, along with Clinton, that she had no association with this deal, apart from the donation. Even though it was proven to be false, President Trump still wants further investigation into Clinton’s involvement in the deal.
