A Letter From A Black Child

A Letter From A Black Child
I try my best to do my best
I keep my head high even when I feel low
I work hard even when I’m tired
But I have some questions that need answers
Why don’t certain people believe in black kid power
I might have brown skin but that shouldn’t matter
I should fit in no matter what color
Why can’t I have the same attention as others
Just because I’m Black and beautiful?
I should be treated the same way as you
