2018 has officially started and with it comes resolutions or a promise to one’s self. Many people make resolutions to become better versions of themselves. Although resolutions are a tradition of the New Year’s holiday, people sometimes find it difficult to follow through with the new promises. The secret to having a successful resolution is to start with something realistic. A goal needs to be achievable in order for you to be motivated to accomplish it. An example of this would be an academic goal of getting an A in a particular class, instead of aiming to go from an acum of 3.2 to a 4.0. Another thing to keep in mind is that you have time, it is, after all, a New Year’s Resolution. You have the whole year to achieve a goal you’ve set so don’t stress if by March you find yourself slacking, you have until Dec. 31. Remember to live life to the fullest, in your own way. It’s reliving and amazing to make it to a new year but anything can happen, so try to be the best you, you can possibly be all the time.
