On January 16, 2018, the Flowers Boys Varsity basketball team hosted the Bowie Bulldogs. The Jags got out to a hot start and attained a comfortable lead. However, Bowie stormed back to make it a 3 point difference game, with 9 seconds left.
After a terrific defensive play, our Jags got the rebound, passed the ball to Cornelius Hawkins for a slam dunk as the buzzer sounded. This sent the crowd into a frenzy. The Jags showed resiliency through adversity in how they hung on to get their win. Our Jags were led by 16 points by our fellow junior, Mikkah Tobias.
The final score was 76-71, a very good win indeed for the Jaguars. Way to go Jags!
