On January 25, 2018, there was a meeting held about attendance at Charles Herbert Flowers High School.
Ever since the big Prince Georges County grade scandal, there are certain rules being enforced heavily. One of the biggest rules being, if you have more than 10 unexcused absences then you automatically fail the course you have been absent in. In previous years, there have been students who graduated with over 50 absences. By law, you are supposed to be in school for a certain amount of days, so you can’t graduate without completing the designated days. As a result, the attendance rule has been enforced.
