The Prince George’s County council member for District 6 is Derrick Leon Davis. Constituent Areas include: District Heights, Forestville, Kettering, Largo, Mitchellville, Bowie, Capitol Heights, and some areas of Upper Marlboro.
In the November 2014 general election, Derrick Leon Davis was elected to serve the residents of District 6. He currently represents the Democratic party. During the 2018 Legislative Year, Council Member Davis served as the Chairman for the Public Safety and Fiscal Management Committee, Vice Chair of the Rules & General Assembly Committee, and as a member of the Health, Education, and Human Services Committee.
He will continue to serve as the Council’s representative for the Economic Development Corporation, as well as Vice Chairman of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Board of Directors, and University of Maryland Capital Region Health Interim Board Member.
Carolyn M. Boston is an elected member from Prince George’s County, MD on the
Board of Education. She represents all parents and students within District 6. Carolyn M. Boston won the general election on November 4, 2014. Ms. Boston’s desire to advocate for parents, students, and teachers became prevalent during her time as President of the PTA at Robert R. Gray Elementary School where she served diligently for nine years. Ms. Boston is a strong advocate of parent and community involvement. She also has a passion for special needs students.
