You're Pathetic

Kelechi Ihejerika

You sit there and you do no work,
But you have the audacity to laugh and smirk
How dare you succumb to this environment?
Have you ever thought about your own retirement?
You see the world but you refuse to change it.
Yet you’re angry but never willing to exchange it
For actual time and energy into what it takes.
Society is failing us, do you know the stakes?

Take your breath and fan the flames
Of your anger until it burns for days.
And nights until finally you decide
To bring greatness to the place where your loved ones reside.

You think you’ve done enough but that will not suffice.
You reek of apathy with no meaningful sacrifice.
Your wokeness is incredibly synthetic.
In other words, I’m trying to say you’re pathetic.
