My Opinion on Gun Violence in schools

The school shooting in Florida that occurred recently was outrageous and really sad. 17 innocent people were murdered in cold blood and countless of others were wounded. Nikolas Cruz, a 19-year-old,  was charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder. He was known as the “weird kid” and “loner” at Stoneman Douglass High School, where he previously attended. Prior to the shooting, Cruz showed signs and gave hints that he was going to perform such an atrocious action, but no preventive efforts were made to avoid the event.
Nowadays, gun violence is becoming a national controversial crisis. Debates over gun laws has split the country politically. One side, Republicans, lean on constitutional rights to bear arms, while the other side, Democrats, favor gun control laws in regard to the mass shootings. People and I believe that the new law Donald Trump wants to pass on teachers being allowed to carry guns in the classrooms is unacceptable. It makes sense to seclude funds to rigorously train security guards instead of handing a teacher a dangerous weapon.
