CHF Raises Awareness to Gun Violence

Jessica Osuchukwu

On March 14, 2018, the student body and faculty of Charles Herbert Flowers High School walked out of class to gather at the bus lot and raise awareness to gun violence. This walk-out was arranged by the Student Government Association and Social Awareness Club.
During the walk-out, posters were passed around and speeches were given. One of the members of SGA even read out the names and ages of all the students that were affected by the shootings. After speeches were given by the SGA members, balloons were set free to represent the number of lives that were lost during this traumatic event.
¨I would like to thank the student body and staff for participating in the walk out today in honor of those lives lost in the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School¨ – CHF SGA via Twitter
Attached below are some of the posters made my the students.
