Danielle Barnes

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will be announcing their Partnership in Education (PIE) Program in the summer for a Student Trainee (Office Automation) next week.  This is a great opportunity for students who are currently in the 11th grade and that are rising seniors.

Please take this opportunity to create an account in USA Jobs at http://www.usajobs.gov. In order to be eligible for the PIE Program students must:

  • Be U.S. citizens
  • Have a current resume
  • Have a 2.0 G.P.A. or higher
  • Have a recent school transcript
  • Have completed the Vacancy Questions.

Their vision of success is to improve student performance and graduation rate, raise student ambition through exposure to new horizons, and provide an opportunity to put academics in a practical context.

In achieving their vision is to provide a meaningful work experience, provide training opportunities and mentoring to expand knowledge base, work in partnership with District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia high schools to link education to work-place activities, use internal and community resources to help students acquire skills and tools necessary to pursue their individual goals, and reward and celebrate success.
