On Thursday, September 27, 2018, the CH Flowers Junior Varsity football team defeated the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets on the road with a score of 12-6. The Junior Varsity Jaguars start off the game strong with a touchdown on the first kickoff of the game returned by Alpha Sesay for 85+ yards.
The Yellowjackets weren’t giving up on this game, so they continued to fight in the 2nd quarter with a rushing touchdown from the one yard line. The score is 6-6 going into the half. The Jaguars are in a tough game while the score is still 6-6 at the start of the 4th quarter. Both Junior Varsity teams continue to battle throughout the fourth quarter until  Quarterback Melvin Crenshaw clutches the game on 1st down with 2 minutes left with a 58 yard rushing touchdown to bring the score to 12-6. The Yellowjackets still have a chance with one last drive to win this game but the Jaguars defense shuts them down to bring the game to an ending score 12-6 in the win on the road against the Yellow Jackets
