The Jaguars are set to make their 3rd consecutive playoff appearance. The Jags are coming off of their second consecutive undefeated season. After a disappointing end to last years season the Jags are hungry for redemption and looking forward to proving the doubters wrong.
On Friday, November 9, 2018, the CH Flowers Jaguars football team hosted the Suitland Rams in the first round of the Maryland State Playoffs. This is the second time Flowers and Suitland matched up. The Jaguars won a tough one the first go around 14-7 in a defensive battle. This time it was no different with both teams playing with everything they had and both teams not wanting their season’s to end.
The Jaguars were lead by their stout defense. The Jaguars defense held Suitland’s offense to 83 total yards the entire game. Also, sophomore Wayne Mathews and senior Zebadiah Suku had interceptions in pivotal moments during this game. The defense picked up a fumble on a bad snap and put the Jaguars in great scoring position, allowing senior Quarterback Julius Duvall to score the only touchdown of the game. The Jaguars would go on to win 6-0! Next round the Jags will travel to take on Wise HS! Go Jags!
