Christopher Alexander Sapara Williams was the first indigenous Nigerian lawyer. On November 17, 1879, he was called to the English bar. He also played an influential role in the politics of Nigeria during the colonial era. He was born on July 14,1855 in Sierra Leone. He died March 15,1915 At the age of 60 in Lagos, Nigeria.
