Vote for Flowers in Game of the Week Contest

Kameron Duncan, Sports Editor

The Jaguars’ Week 4 matchup with Northwestern has received the honor from WUSA 9.
The Flowers football team is looking pretty good these days. They’re currently on a three game winning streak to open the season and they’ve handily beaten every opponent they’ve faced so far.
This feat has not gone unnoticed, as WUSA has offered to put the Jaguars in the spotlight – provided they can get the votes.
The Flowers/Northwestern game set for this Friday is up for the network’s “Game of the Week”, which means that the game’s highlights have a chance to be televised on the Friday edition of the 11pm news.
In order for the game to be selected officially, however, it must beat out 4 other games in a poll on the WUSA 9 website.
The games in contention are:

  • Woodbridge at Garfield
  • Osbourn at Osbourn Park
  • Seneca Valley at Churchhill
  • Middletown at Frederick
  • C.H. Flowers at Northwestern
