Football Preview: Week 6 – Flowers @ High Point
October 3, 2012
What a difference two weeks makes. After week 3, the Jaguars looked like they might have a
shot at an undefeated season. They were demolishing every opponent placed before them, and
looked like one of the best teams in the county.
Then the games against Northwestern and Suitland happened. Now that 3-0 record is a 3-2
one, and the same Jaguars who looked primed for a number one seed in the playoffs now find
themselves needing to perhaps win every game from here on out just to make the playoffs.
Fortunately for Flowers, however, they have historically done well against this week’s opponent.
Winning this game would put the team 2 games over a .500 win percentage, which is extremely important in the standings. It would also give the team a much needed boost in confidence after suffering two consecutive tough losses.
Flowers (3-2, 2-2 in conference play) takes on High Point (2-3, 2-3 in conference play) on
Friday, October 5th at High Point High School.
