New Special Ed Teacher
October 3, 2012
Mrs. Kristen Henderson, is now the new special ed English teacher for Charles Herbert School after teaching at Woodland Middle School and Christian High School.
Mrs. Henderson interests outside of the classroom include reading, playing video games and watching baseball. She also shared her interest in a special item that is a collectible of her- her Mr. Potato Head Toy. Along with the responsibilities of teaching, she cares for a family of four.
Some of her joys of being a teacher is the fact that she experiences something different every single day and because she has the opportunity to make a difference in her students lives.
When asked what does she say to motivate her students, she responded “It’s harder to fail than to pass,” “Positive thinking leads to positive responses,” and “Respect is earned not given.”
