On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, 9th and 10th grade 3D Scholar students went on a field trip to Camp Schmidt for the school day. The field trip was free and mandatory, so many students had to attend the trip or parents would be called.
The buses were delayed in the morning, so instead of leaving at 7:30 am, the students left at 9:30 am. Despite the delay and long trip to arrive at the camp, the students were able to receive the full experience that the campground had to offer.
The purpose of the field trip was to strengthen team building skills through activities that required teamwork, cooperation, and communication. The trip was a success since a number of 3D Scholar students had the opportunity to meet their fellow peers while having fun at the same time.
