On October 15, 2019 University of Maryland althletic department officially announced plans for $36 million practice facility at a press conference. It will take 3 years to finsh buliding the facility. $19 million has already been raised to help the project out. Havery Sanders has been the main fundraiser for this initative. Both girls and boys basketball team will have 24 hours access to facility, and will be able to workout any time out any time they want outside of regular practice time. The 60,000 square foot facility will be adjacemnent and connected to the Xfinity Center.
