On October 23rd, 2019,  the students of Charles H. Flowers High School went on a college tour to Morgan State University to explore campus life, sports clubs, and different majors that students can consider for the future.
As the students traveled through northeast Baltimore, there were mixed emotions between all the students and staff. The first activity of the college tour was a presentation of the entire school by Eric Johnson, the tour coordinator.  At the beginning of the presentation, there was a video of the Morgan University message and philosophy; Growing the Future, Leading the World. After the video ended, Mr. Eric Johnson provided the students with several important messages based on his experiences with the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his life in high school: “Use the haters’ words to your advantage to succeed in life”, “Persevere to get to your goal”, and “Defeat all odds to get to where you want to be.”
