SCHOLARSHIPS
The Ge-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program honors well deserving students each year by collecting about 1 million dollars and granting 20 high school seniors entering college with scholarship money. Their program annually provides of about 10,000 scholarships to promising, high school leaders nationwide. Applications for the 2020 year are being accepted until Jan 3, 2020. COLLEGE VISITS
HOWARD UNIVERSITY
Mr. Waldron (room 112 ) has permission slips for the upcoming Howard University field trip on November 4, 2019. The deadline to turn in slips are October 31, 2019. His email is [email protected]. Join your fellow juniors and seniors to explore the Howard University Campus and get a feel of what might the next 4 years will be like for you.
MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY
There will be a shadow day at Morgan State University on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. You will be paired with a current Morgan State attendee, and will experience a day on campus. There is also an opportunity for on site admissions. For more information check your school email and look for an email from Frederick Groves. ASSISTANCE
The Office of College Readiness and Student Services will be hosting a districtwide College Application Night. This year application night will be on October 31, 2019.

Charles Herbert Flowers high school hosted a grand opening on October 31, 2019 for its brand new College Career Readiness Center. The Center replaced what used to be our Attendance office by the Science and Technology Lecture Hall. The grand opening was set up by the Peer Leaders. Peers Leaders wanted all students to have another option to be even more prepared for college. The center made to help with homework, give students assistance when applying for universities and scholarships, and tutoring.
