The Child Development program is a program for 10-12 graders. It is a full-year course and only has active classes for the 1st and 2nd period. Children are brought in and are taught how to interact with each other, the adults, and the students; which are the helpers. As you advance in the program you get the opportunity to go to elementary schools and work alongside the teachers in classrooms. After, once you get your certificate you are able to get a job in a daycare and/or any other facility that houses children your senior year. As a High School graduate, you are able to work in places where they will accept your diploma and achievements. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Pea in the Child Development classroom.
