In the month of October, we show awareness to cancer. On October 31, 2019 there was an assembly at Charles Herbert Flowers to show dedication to this important time. Flowers brought in a survivor of breast cancer. Her name is Shondia Sabari, she shared information about her obstacles with having the cancer and how she had the remove her breast. After the assembly students were guided into the hallways to exit the building and have a walk,that showed how strong we are, and how we can overcome the odds of an illness. To also show gratitude Charles Herbert Flower students were allowed to dress down in pink in the act of cancer.
