What better way to celebrate the upcoming Super bowl than to try a new recipe?  Try these flavorful appetizers geared toward game day.  All featured recipes taken from Food.com.
Recipe 1: Mexican Bean Dip
Ready to break free from the usual, boring chip dip sold at stores?  Try this fiesta-y chip dip, made with a few simple ingredients!
Ingredients:

  • 1 (16 ounce) can fat-free refried beans
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 4 ounces green chilies
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded


Directions:

  1. Spray a pie plate.
  2. Mix all ingredients and place in pie plate.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until hot in the center.
  4. Add extra cheese and anything else you want on top.
  5. Now your chips have a flavorful compliment!!



Recipe 2: Deviled Eggs
Whatever flavor suits your fancy, deviled eggs transcend all party appetizers! Whether it’s Sothern style, Indian style, Cajun style, or home style, the basics on how to prepare deviled eggs will give you a foundation to work with.

Ingredients:

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs
  • Seasoning, depending on desired flavor


Directions:

  1. To hard-boil the eggs, put eggs in a pot of water and let boil, until eggs are cooked, about 10 minutes.
  2. Shell the eggs, and half them.  Scoop out the yellow insides and set aside in a separate bowl.
  3. Place the white halves in a deviled egg container or on another plate.
  4. Mix the yolk with the desired flavoring, such as onions, cayenne pepper, paprika, barbeque sauce, salt, lemon zest, or your own creation.
  5. Mix thoroughly, and spoon mixture into center of egg whites.
  6. There you have your own deviled eggs!  You can top them with a garnish such a cayenne pepper, clove, or parsley.
