Board member, K. Alexander Wallace, representative of district 7 has a proposal, and Wallace wants the board to pass it so that all elementary students receive free breakfast and lunch. He wants this opportunity to be for children Pre-K to 5th grade and the cost for this project would be about 12 million dollars. 

K. Alexander Wallace submitted the “No more SHAME ACT, 5210 on November 18th, 2019 which was his first proposal that covered about 10,000 meals.

He commented, ” A student’s empty stomach is just as dangerous to their success in school as is a student’s empty mind and we, by policy and morality, must provide the necessary support to fill both.”
