STEM Fair 2020: Samantha Manapul

Evan Nuesca

As we reach the end of January 2020, Engineering track S/T student Samantha Manapul presents her STEM Fair Project. The field Samantha did her project on was on engineering mechanics. Manapul’s question was whether the detection of aggression was possible through the use of thermal cameras. Using thermal cameras, it reads a person’s body temperature. Higher body temperature can indicate whether or not a person wants to cause harm. According to Samantha, this project is a work in progress, as body temperature can vary from many different factors including age, gender, activity levels, and health condition.
