On January 31, 2020, Evan Zheng presented his STEM Fair project on the are of microbiology. Evan’s topic was about the microbial properties of soil and its correlation to microbial fuel cell efficiency. Using different types of soil, Evan plans to experiment on the difference between the samples of soil in terms of its effectiveness in the amount of electricity it can produce. This experiment is done in hopes of obtaining further data on the possibility of MFCs (Microbial Fuel Cell) being a clean energy source.
