CHFHS National Honor Society Assembly for Class of 2022

On February 21, 2020, an assembly was conducted at the Helena Noble-Jones auditorium regarding the 10th grade class of 2022. During this assembly, the requirements and qualifications about being a member of the CHFHS National Honor Society were discussed.
The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high schoolers. Based in the United States, this organization has many chapters in many high schools around the country including Charles Herbert Flowers High School.
There are four major requirements needed to be eligible to become a member of the National Honor Society. The criteria is based on:
- Scholarships: in this case the minimum requirement is having a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Character: being honest, following directions, and who you are as a person.
- Service: having a documented 50 hours of community service learning hours.
- Leadership: demonstrate in your application that you are a leader and have leadership qualities.
For the school year 2019-2020, 10th and 11th graders may apply. In the application, along with showing that you have the four major criteria, you must do an essay of 500-550 words based on five essay questions. The application is due on March 13, 2020 before 1:00 pm in room 147.
